Our parishioner David Brinkmoeller was featured in the Daily Gazette for his work with VFW Post 1498. "Five years ago, David Brinkmoeller, commander of the VFW Post 1498 in Clifton Park, was at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany for volunteer work and he saw something that stuck with him: a veteran walk in to the center off the street without a coat." Prayer shawls have been made for centuries. They are universal and embracing, symbolic of an inclusive, unconditionally loving, God. They wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give solace, warmth & beautify. St. Edward’s is blessed to have many gifted crafters who have embraced this ministry.
