MACSC is accepting donations of NEW school supplies for their annual School Supplies Drive! Supplies will benefit students in grades K through 12 in the Mechanicville and surrounding area school districts. If you are interested in helping this great cause please leave new school supplies in the boxes in the gathering area
St. Edward’s has an ONGOING FOOD PANTRY collection year ‘round. We support the Mechanicville and Jonesville Food Pantries with your generous donations! Though it is SUMMER the food pantries are still in need of food donations! Though any non-perishables are appreciated, we also have suggested food items in the Sunday bulletin (SEE BELOW) each week. Both food pantries are always so thankful for what St. Edward’s donates each week! Please place the items on the pew in the Atrium OR Gathering Area. Thanks!!!!

DRIVERS FOR FOOD PANTRY: Our parish community provides food, paper products, cleaning supplies and personal grooming products on an ongoing weekly basis to be distributed to neighboring food pantries. Volunteers collect these donations from the Church and deliver them weekly on a rotating basis. We are in need of several volunteers to make the deliveries to Mechanicville Area Community Center. Deliveries can be made on any day of the week, but preferably by Wednesdays as the food pantry is open to those in need on Thursdays. If you are unavailable on a regular basis, substitutes are always welcome to be called as needed. To volunteer or request further information please contact Denise Burrall via email at dburrall@icloud.com.

HELP FOR GRIEVING PARENTS
Losing a child under any circumstance is something no parent should ever experience. Focusing on the spirituality of the grieving process can help tremendously. Just as he comforted His grieving disciples on the road to Emmaus, Jesus comforts us.
St. Edward's is offering an Emmaus Ministry for Grieving Parents one day spiritual retreat on Saturday, October 5 from 9:30 AM - 7:00 PM. To register for this retreat please go to www.emfgp.org or download the registration form and mail it to the address provided on the form.

It’s Cross Training Bible Camp Time Again!
Come join us for another year of fun at St. Edward's "Cross Training" Bible Camp! Camp will be held from July 29 through August 2 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Then, on Sunday, August 4 we will invite the families back for closing celebration at 1:00 PM. Camp is open to children entering kindergarten through Grade 5 and the fee is $50. Join us for fun, games, bible stories, crafts and music. Registration forms are available on the parish website's homepage and also at the Welcome Center. SUMMER MUSIC CAMP
St. Edward’s TENTH ANNUAL SUMMER MUSIC CAMP will be held from August 19 through August 23 from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM. We will sing, play games, have snacks, and create some crafts, as well as have fun with old and new friends. The children will sing at the 4PM Mass on Saturday, August 24.. Our campers will also sing for the residents of a local nursing home. There is a $30 fee per child. Information and registration forms are available on the parish website. We are also in need of adult and teen volunteers to help out with our camp. If you would like to help out with our music camp, please plan to attend a meeting on Tuesday, July 16, at 5:30PM in the Social Hall.

Dear Parents,As we begin to enjoy the warmth of the summer I have some important news to share with you.
Effective July 19th, I will be retiring from my position as Director of Faith Formation. My wife and I will be relocating to southern Florida to be closer to family and friends.
I would like to thank you for the opportunity to have served you over these past six years and I am confident that you will receive the same quality of service as always from our dedicated coordinators Noreen and Sue.
